Our Service Facilities

Our research aims to expand the boundaries of knowledge, fill knowledge gaps and deepen our understanding of biological intelligence. This requires a wide variety of methods and approaches, some of which have to first be developed. Above all, it requires people with diverse areas of expertise.

Our service facilities support our scientists in their research. To do so, the facilities develop suitable equipment or experimental setups and provide the required research infrastructure. They also offer support with routine work, information procurement or the dissemination of research results. Experienced colleagues in the service groups ensure that the offered services constantly develop. We operate some of the service facilities together with our neighboring institute in Martinsried, the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry.
